Badger Fisherman Club Functions
The Badger Fisherman's League does a number of club functions throughout the year. We have provided the following pictures to give a flavor for what the club is all about.
Ice Fisheree - Our annual ice fisheree is held the second Saturday of February each year. This is our main fundraiser for the club and supports the conservation and community projects that we do throughout the year. Members pitch in and work together to make this event a huge success!
October Overnight Fishing Outing - Each year the club members make a weekend trip to Genoa and the Mississippi River, where walleye, white bass, and a host of other fish await.
Merry Christmas! The club celebrates the holidays with a Kids Christmas Party. Santa not only hears their wish list for the year but brings them a gift too!
Every other year, the Badger Fisherman's League puts on a 'Ladie's Night', an event to celebrate members and their spouses.
The BFL hosts two different fishing clinics every year. The first always takes place at McGovern Park in Milwaukee in April, and the second at Lepper Pond in Menomonee Falls in May. Kids are taught ethics, equipment, knot tying, and casting, before they go fishing on the ponds.
Members participate in our summer golf outing playing best ball followed by a catered dinner. Meat raffles, silent auctions and various other raffles are held throughout the evening.
Our Winnebago overnighter is held in June each year. Members fish the Winnebago Lake chains starting at Noon on Friday and ending at Noon on Sundy. A bon fire in the evenings gives members a chance to gather and tell their fish stories for the day!
